Steve Romanowski holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Contracting from Purdue University and has been a licensed State of Florida General Contractor since 1985. With decades of industry experience, Steve oversees all construction operations at Vintage Building & Design, ensuring the company remains a leader in innovation, execution, and construction best practices.
In addition to his leadership in vertical construction, Steve brings an extensive background in large-scale site development, including paving, drainage, water, and sewer infrastructure. His comprehensive knowledge ensures that every phase of development is executed with precision and foresight.
Steve’s building philosophy is simple yet powerful: “Uncompromising quality, proper planning, and precise execution.” He applies this mindset to every project—regardless of size—through a meticulous review process and uncompromising standards. KEN WEITZ
Founder & Head of Design
Ken Weitz brings a rare combination of architectural expertise, hands-on construction experience, and a keen sense of value and practicality to every project. With over 40 years in the Design and Construction industry, Ken is known for seamlessly bridging creative vision with strategic execution—from initial concept through completion.
Ken studied Architecture at the Boston Architectural Center and the University of Miami before earning his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Technology from Florida International University. His educational foundation, combined with decades of experience, enables him to manage a project holistically, including original concept development, material specifications, hardscape design, and beyond.
Renowned for his ability to clearly interpret a client’s vision, Ken is deeply committed to transforming ideas into built realities while delivering a seamless and rewarding experience. His thoughtful approach and collaborative, good natured style have earned him a well-deserved reputation for excellence.

SUSAN
SCHEDLER
Founder & Head of Finance
Susan studied at UNC Charlotte and grew up immersed in the building industry, with her father serving as Vice President of Construction at Regency Homes in Coral Springs, Florida. She oversees all financial operations at VBD, including client and subcontractor billing, using the specialized accounting software Sage 100 Contractor, tailored specifically for the construction industry.
Her expertise allows her to track budgets, selections, and cost changes in real time, providing accurate "cost to go" figures and detailed financial reports for each project. This level of transparency and precision ensures a smooth, cohesive building process. Clients consistently praise Susan for her timely, accurate work—which virtually eliminates surprises throughout the project lifecycle.
